Undefeated
Like in wrestling, you will never go undefeated in life, and wrestling teaches young people how to overcome defeat. Mark Manning, head wrestling coach of the Nebraska Huskers talks about how wrestling prepares you to handle life obstacles.

Reter’s Restaurant Night Tuesday 1/8
Each year, as one of our few fund raisers, we do a “restaurant night”. We all recruit everyone we know to eat at a particular place, and that place donates a portion of sales back to the team. In the past we have had wonderful participation and a fantastic time, and I hope we continue that tradition. Here are the details for this year:
Tuesday, January 8th
Reter’s Crab House & Grille
509 Main St., Reisterstown, MD 21136, 410-526-3300
(near Chartley Drive, across from Jiffy Lube and Wawa)
There will be no practice that night so everyone can attend. Tuesdays is “all-you-can-eat shrimp night” with soup and a salad for $14.99. A full menu can be found here: http://www.reterscrabhouse.com/menu.php
EVERYONE MUST TELL THEIR SERVER THEY ARE THERE FOR THE WRESTLING PROGRAM for us to get credit. Please invite friends and family and join us for a great night out. If you can’t make it for dinner, anytime of the day counts, so try to get there for lunch. We all appreciate your support. Have a safe and happy New Year!

Where to go?
- Returning B-Team wrestlers should report to the team/location they’re returning from.
- Since our program now covers the Reisterstown, Owings Mills, and Pikesville areas, here are guidelines for new wrestlers:
- If districted for Franklin HS, you will be assigned to the Reisterstown novice team and should report to Franklin.
- If districted for Owings Mills HS, you will be assigned to the Owings Mills novice team and should report to Owings Mills HS.
- If districted for neither, you will likely be assigned to the team more in need of wrestlers, but should report to Franklin HS to start.
- We are, however, able to be somewhat flexible where practice nights at one location of the other are an issue, or carpooling, etc.
- At Franklin, the wrestling room is through the gym around back. At Owings Mills, the wrestling room is underneath the main gym.
What to wear?
- Gym clothes
- Clean court shoes or wrestling shoes
- No zippers or mud.
- No jewelry
- Sports goggles/glasses if you wear glasses and can’t operate without them
- We will talk about ear guards
New Parents
At the beginning of tomorrow’s practices we’ll have a brief “new parent” break-out for a “what to expect” and Q&A. We will repeat this at the second practices for those that can’t get out to tomorrow’s practices.
